Get to Know the New Faces on Gotham FC's Preseason Roster

As Gotham FC gears up for the 2024 season missing a third of , the club has unveiled its preseason tournament roster, inviting a mix of familiar faces and exciting newcomers to compete for spots on the game day squad. This group will take part in the 2 leg preseason Women's Cup tournament in Columbia kicking off tonight at 5PM. You can catch the action for a $10 subscription at https://thewomenscup.world/ . The team is looking to build chemistry and bring home their first hardware ahead of the upcoming National Women's Soccer League campaign.

Kailey Carlen (u18)

Keeper from Chula Vista, CA. 

Birthday June 2007

Graduates 2025

Very comfortable with the ball at feet and shows good distribution under pressure.

Caitlin Cosme


Caitlin, a 5’5 New Hyde Park, New York  native and  25 yo defender with NWSL experience. Missed 2022 with an injury and then suited up for the Orlando Pride in 2023. Fun fact: Caitlin scored 3 goals in 2021 at Duke in her final season, all off of free kicks.

Waniya Hudson

Waniya, a Greece, NY native graduated this year out of Notre Dame. 5’6 defender. Anchored and started all 23 games for a stout Fighting Irish defense that only allowed 3.0 shots on target per game and only 16 goals all season. .

Ella Martinez u-18

US u-17 and 18 regular. Graduates in 2026. Up and coming star who is consistently featured in showcases across Phoenix. Excellent athlete with great ball control and a shot from distance.

Jessica Mazo

Team Captain at UConn. 5’1 midfielder. From Bridgeport Connecticut.  First team all Big East. Has speed on the dribble and ability to break lines passing.

Mackenzie Pluck

From North Wales, Pennsylvania. 5’4, 23 year old midfielder out of Duke in 2022. 21 goals and 29 assists over her college career. Was on Angel City’s roster in 2023. Played as a left winger and is very good at cutting in and getting in on goal.

Darya Rajaee

Deep lying midfielder with a physical presence and line breaking passing ability. Preseason All-Conference Team and Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 players list in senior year.

Nia Christopher

A forward for the Bermuda National team. The 22 year old broke the record for game winning goals at Towson University. Was 75th on the top drawer soccer players in college soccer. Calm goal scorer who can ride shoulders and make timely runs in the box.
