Game Preview Gotham VS Racing Louisville

Location: Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ

Broadcast: NWSL+

Here's a quick preview for this NWSL matchup:

3 Keys to the Game:

  1. Gotham's Attack vs. Louisville's Defense: Gotham FC has gotten off to a slow start (currently last in goals per game). Their attack, led by Ester, will be looking to get back on track and exploit any weaknesses in Racing Louisville's defense. Louisville will need to be disciplined and organized at the back to contain Gotham's threats.

  2. Battle in the Midfield: The midfield battle will be crucial in dictating the flow of the game. Who can control possession and win those second balls will likely have the upper hand. Last season Demelo picked Gotham apart as they failed to execute their press efficiently. This has been an issue early on this season for Gotham. If they do not get it right this week they will pay as Kanu has the speed to get behind the highline.

  3. Who’s Available?: It’s no secret Gotham is hurting right now. A third of the roster was not available for the last match. However, soon they should be getting McCall Zerboni, Sinead Farrelly, Kelly O'Hara back. Davidson will not be available for this weekend’s matchup according to Coach Amoros as she is nursing a lower leg injury. Rose Lavelle was in training this week but is not slated to return just yet. May we see the debut of new signing keeper Ann-Katrin Berger over Miller this week?

Possible starting 11

This should be an exciting matchup between two teams at Red Bull Arena for Lesbian Visibility Week.  Let's go bats!
