What to look for VS OL Reign

There's no way around it. These three games coming up in eight days are a beast of a task. Getting 5 points out of these games sounds like a good haul. Starting tomorrow with a 10pm eastern have against the OL Reign. Here's what I'm looking at for this game.

Gotham to come out firing. The past two games against OL was a 1-0 nervy win at home where it almost felt like a stolen 3 points. Gotham followed that up with what felt like a complete domination of OL in the road. Gotham needs to get out front early. They need to score fast and early to rest starters for a quick turnaround Wednesday night against the best team in the league.

Reinforcements inbound. Gotham could be boosted by the return of Viens and Lloyd from international duty and Purce, Monahan, Dorsey and or Freeman from injury. Any of them would be a welcome sight. That's a lot of missing talent.

Kawasumi to play a big role. Kawasumi was able to carve up OL with beautiful long balls from wide spots last time out against the Reign. She may be at this point Gotham's most creative attacker. If Seattle doesn't put pressure on Nahomi, she'll certainly be a huge factor in Gotham winning this game.

Prediction 1-1 draw

New podcast out next week covering both Seattle and Portland. Guest Bri Leblanc of the purple pulse Podcast to discuss all that's going on with Orlando pride.
