Nj/NY Gotham FC has announced the signing of right back Nealy Martin on Thursday 12/08/22.
Martin 24, formerly played for Racing Louisville for the past two seasons. Appearing in 29 games making 21 starts for the new franchise. Nealy completes 78 percent of her passes and roughly 60 percent of her tackles. Making 57 clearances and picking up 4 yellow cards over her two seasons at Racing Louisville.
From Birmingham Alabama, Nealy started playing soccer when she was 3 years old when a family friend brought her a pair of cleats and a ball. A chemical engineering major at the University of Alabama. Was 2019 SEC Co-Scholar Athlete of the year.
Went undrafted and went to a Racing Louisville open tryout and impressed the coaches and staff from the moment she stepped on the field. "I'm doing all I can. No matter what happens. My heart and soul on the pitch. Every single day". (WHAS11 2021).
Considered a good locker room player and teammate. Can play both outside back and center back. Provides quality depth across the backline.
