What to look for against Red Stars. Game preview

We finally know who the next Gotham head coach is going to be in Chicago Red stars assistant Scott Parkinson. However, due to a family issue he will not be on the sideline against his former team for this game. Let's take a look at three things I'm looking for in this game.

- Who will be acting head coach in this game? It could be new assistant coach in Beverly Yanez. However, Bev retired as a player in 19/20 and has been coaching youth soccer. That's quite the level jump. My thought is current assistant coach Becki Tweed gets the nod here. She knows the system and had coached at both Gotham FC and the reserves. She knows the players and may be the best to keep the structure of the team and put the players in the best spot to succeed.

- Matchups of the week. Pugh and Watt versus Lewandoski and Johnson. Last time out Gina had Pugh in her pocket which is no easy task. I'm really looking at these matchups to determine how these games go.

- Who's going to be the creator? Gotham has struggled to create going forward. With Freya of to LA will we finally see Pinto in a starting role? Perhaps the interim coach puts Onumonu back in the 9 spot where she's been the leagues hottest striker? Gotham looked dangerous when the lineup I asked for was utilized. Onumonu in the middle with Lloyd and kawasumi in either side and pinto underneath. Hopefully the interim coach has other ideas. Perhaps 2 up top with Lloyd and Onumonu.
