Saturday night at 7pm in Harrison New Jersey. Gotham FC welcomes the talented Reign squad. Coming off of the first loss of the seasona rebound win won't come easy against Seattle. Here are three items of note in this matchup.
Can Ally Long slow down Rose Lavelle? Rose is one of the most talented attacking players in women's soccer. OL Reign can struggle at times without Rose leasing the charge. If Long can bottle Rose Lavelle and keep her out of the middle to the wings it could be another good night for Gotham.
Can Gotham score goals? Gotham has been rock steady in defence allowing a minimum of quality chances. But they also have mightily struggled to get shots on goal let alone score. Who is going to step up and take on players and get shots on frame? My money is Monahan.
Will we see Brianna Pinto? Is it too early to expect newly signed ESPN 21 under 21 starlet Brianna Pinto to play in this one? Brianna is coming off of the college cup so she's in game shape. If Gotham decides to rest or limit Lloyd or Viens will they turn to the talented youngster? Time to find out.
